Ok I’m done with the A&F topic. I just wanna say one last thing. After posting that, I have received a LOT of hate messages. What you guys aren’t seeing is that because I stated my opinion on the whole situation without judging ANYONE or saying anything that could be hurtful, I was insulted, attacked, and judged. You all need a serious reality check that you can’t expect people to not judge you off the bat if you’re going to judge others that way too.

We don’t deny service to anyone, I have no idea what you’re talking about. If I see a large person, I don’t say “get out.” I greet them like the normal human being that they are, just like everyone deserves to be greeted, ask if they need help with anything just like I would anyone else. If they want to try on the clothes/buy them, they can try them on/buy them. All I’m saying is that it’s ridiculous that before the comment was made, everyone was fine with the fact that womans clothing only went up to 10 but now that there was a rude comment from 7 years ago, you all jump the gun and become all righteous

It’s funny though because I cover all the topics that you guys have been repeating and it doesn’t seem to go through your heads. I work at A&F, and we don’t throw away clothes that aren’t sold. They get shipped back to the company. And they don’t criticize anyone actually. And like I said, if you go to A&F and look at a pair of 10 womans regular jeans, they’re large

Your A&F post made you seem really ignorant and shallow. Just because people don't fit into their size 10 clothing does not mean they are plus-sized. There are millions of different kinds of body types, and it's too bad that you only know how to appreciate very few of them.

If someone is larger than a size 10, they are pretty large. There are other stores that sell even smaller sized clothing, why aren’t they being attacked? Because they didn’t say it out loud in an interview? It’s his store, he can sell whatever sizes he wants to sell.

I need to vent so sorry this is gonna be long.

Most of you have probably read about the Mike Jeffries, the CEO of Abercrombie & Fitch’s quote. Keep in mind, it was a quote from 2006 that just surfaced. In the 7-year-old comment, he said that he hires attractive, skinny/built people as the companies models and that he doesn’t sell bigger than a size 10, and that people larger aren’t “cool enough” to shop in his store. Let’s be honest now, what company that you know of other than a company specifically for plus sized clothing would hire a model that is large over someone that is skinny? None. It’s simple facts that he was stating that we are all self-aware of but now that a CEO of a worldwide clothing company said it out loud, he get’s attacked. Next, have you guys seen the size 10’s in A&F? Those things are pretty large. If you can’t fit into a size 10, then you shouldn’t be worrying about what the CEO said 7 years ago and taking it out on him, you should either be buying clothes from a store that sells plus-sized clothing or hitting the gym, because if you want to shop at A&F, that should be aspiration to work out and get fit. And lastly, because of this comment, Mike has been attacked with horrible hate messages and comments on the A&F Facebook group. There was a comment posted on the group explaining what he said and why he said it and apologizing, but the most liked comments on the post were insults toward him. So, you guys are mad that he “insulted” fat people, so you insult him based on his looks and a quote from 7 years ago? If you go to the A&F Facebook page here, you can see Mike’s note to what has been happening and you can all read the attacks that he has received on most of the A&F posts. You can’t fight insults with insults.
